Taste of Iceland

Taste of Iceland 2022 is touring North America and stops in Toronto, September 22nd-25th. During the festival, locals can transport themselves to Iceland through a series of events inspired by and in celebration of the best of Icelandic culture through food, beverage, music, literature, films, art, and more.

Over the course of the four-day festival, and in partnership with local businesses in Toronto, and Taste of Iceland's official partners, events will be hosted by The Drake Hotel, Horseshoe Tavern Union Yoga, Stackt Market, Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema, and in collaboration with TIFA. The schedule of events includes:

Culinary Experience with Chef Viktor Örn Andrésson, Hinrik Örn Lárusson and Laura Maxwell: Hosted daily starting at 5p.m., from September 22-25, at The Drake, located at 1150 Queen Street, West. - (The Culinary Experience is offered at $75 (CAD). Reykjavik Calling Concert, curated by Iceland Airwaves, featuring Icelandic Musicians BSÍ, Cell7 and DJ Hermigervill: September 22, 7 p.m. at Horseshoe Tavern, located at 370 Queen Street, West. - (FREE Event: Ticket required for entry)

66°North 5K Scavenger Hunt: September 23 at 6 p.m., at Stackt Market, located at 28 Bathurst St. - (FREE Event: Ticket required for entry)

Elemental Sound Bath with Energy Healer Jósa Goodlife and Blue Lagoon Iceland: September 24 at 12 p.m. at Union Yoga located at 956 Bloor Street West. -(FREE Event: Ticket required for entry)

The Re-Read: Auður Jónsdóttir on Halldór Laxness, presented in partnership with Toronto International Festival of Authors: September 24 at 2 p.m., at Lakeside Terrace, located at 235 Queens Quay West. Wheel of Prizes Presented by Icelandair: Held daily, at various events, participants will have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes, including a trip for two to Iceland!

Most events are free to attend, with the exception of the Icelandic Culinary Experience at the Drake Hotel and select events in participation with TIFA.
