Switch The Village

The Switch Project presents Switch The Village, a site-specific interactive and multidisciplinary street performance experience in Toronto's gay village. Starting at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, we invite you to join us on a moving stage, venturing through various spaces in the village accompanied by portable projections, song and soundscape, poetry, shadow puppetry, dance, and movement-based storytelling.

Using a transformative justice framework, we will explore our relationships to Toronto’s Gay Village, Queer History, Invisiblization & Ideal Futures through interactive multimedia street performance.

Switch the Village will start at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre and Alexander Street Parkette, moving through the village and ending at Barbara Hall Park.
