Storytelling for Kids: Grandma's Soup

Costume party at 10:30am (dress code: characters from storytales)

Performance at 11am

Marc Laberge reinvents stories from childhood… adding his own touch to the dishes, just like grandma would spice up her soup with a pinch of salt.

With images, stories and tales collected in remote parts of Quebec, with its inexhaustible flair, Marc Laberge is opening up an unknown aspect of Quebec’s history. From tales to images, from images to books, this is a unique opportunity to meet the fate –sometimes rude or strange, but never common- of characters in an unknown Quebec. That's also a surprising opportunity to discover the Inuit and Native Americans, the legendary people of the First Nations. Meetings not to be missed, as they are a reason for an unprecedented journey along the St. Lawrence River, in a world of forests, ice and hidden villages. An unusual journey, merrily embellished with fantasy, on the path of memories and strong emotions, emphasized by drama and affection.
