Madeleine Thien was born in Vancouver. She is the author of three books of fiction, and her novels have been translated into 22 languages. In 2014, her most recent work, Dogs at the Perimeter , was shortlisted for Germanys International Prize for Literature. She is a recipient of the Ovid Festival Prize, which recognizes emerging writers from around the world. Since 2010, she has been part of the International Faculty in the groundbreaking MFA Program at City University of Hong Kong. She lives in Montreal where she is completing a new novel about music.

Claire Caldwell 's first book of poems, Invasive Species, is out this fall with Wolsak and Wynn. Claire was the 2013 winner of the Malahat Review's Long Poem Prize, and her work has appeared in magazines such as This and Maisonneuve. She received her MFA from the University of Guelph in 2012, and she currently edits clean romances and action-adventure books at Harlequin, which has led to some strange internet search histories.

Andrew Kaufman was born in the town of Wingham, Ontario. This is the same town that Alice Munro was born in, which makes him the second-best writer from a town of 3,000. He attended F. E. Madill High School. He is also the author of The Waterproof Bible, The Tiny Wife, Born Weird and the short story collection Selected Business Correspondence. He lives in Toronto with his awesome wife and two kids, Phoenix and Frida.

Andy McGuire is a musician and poet. His most recent album, John Alice Is Here to See You, was released under the alias John Alice. Andys poems have appeared in Arc, CV2, Riddle Fence, Vallum, and Hazlitt, and his chapbook, Sputniks, was published by Baseline Press in 2011.
