Speakeasy Reading Series: February 20

Speakeasy Reading series is a monthly event hosted by the Guelph Creative Writing MFA Program, featuring readings from students, alumni, and community readers.

ALL are welcome at this community event!

Event details:

The reading will be online and in-person at Glad Day Bookshop starting at 8 pm EST.

Registration is only required if you will be joining on Zoom.

Automated closed captioning will be available via Zoom. Unfortunately, they are only about 60-80% accurate.

The event is absolutely free, with a suggested donation of $5-15 at the door (all proceeds go directly to the readers). No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Masks are mandatory when not eating or drinking. We also ask attendees to arrive fragrance free. Glad Day Bookshop is wheelchair accessible (with a wheelchair accessible washroom), however the accessible button to the front door isn't working. Staff WILL be available to open it. There will be food and drink (including alcohol) available for purchase.

Glad Day Bookshop is located at 499 Church St, Toronto, ON M4Y 2C6, and is just a short walk from Wellesley Station. Street parking is also available.

If you have any questions, please email us at speakeasyreadings@gmail.com. We'd love to hear from you about your accessibility needs and will try our best to ensure you can attend without barriers.
