A concert celebration of Wendalyn Bartley's Sound Dreaming CD is happening on December 5, 2014, at the Arraymusic Space, 155 Walnut Ave in Toronto.

The evening will combine listening to the music Ive created from recordings made in various ancient ritual places in Crete and Malta with opportunities to move your body in response and watch projected images.

For me, the most special thing about this concert is that you will be able to experience the music in its full surround sound glory. Even if you already have the CD version, you probably havent heard it move around the room amongst five independent speakers. Thats what youll get to experience at this concert.

What I love about surround sound is that it puts you and your ears in the center of a larger acoustic space as if you were present in a different environment, a different sonic world. A chance to imagine yourself surrounded by the multiple voices that once celebrated life in those ancestral places.
