Led by Toronto based and internationally performing saxophonist, Stuart Brignell and his "Playlist" Band. Comprised of Worrell McFarlane on Drums, Jackson Steinwall on Bass and Victor Xu on keyboards. Playlist performs a captivating mix of the best neo-soul music from the late 90's right up to the current era, blending the sounds of Detroit, West-Philly and South Dallas into a seamless musical cocktail. Within a set you can expect to hear creative covers and arrangements of tunes by Erykah Badu, Musiq Soulchild, Jill Scott, J-Dilla , Common and many more, with even some of Stuart's original instrumentals, heard off of his 2022 album titled "Soul Stu: The Lo-fi Tapes Vol.1

In between sets of music will be featured performances by Toronto based poets and writers, to share their stories and lore with the audience.

For this show only the band and featured poets will be experimenting with crafting unique and never before seen improvised vibes off top, with Stuart leading the band into uncharted musical territory. Creating a lush and riveting tapestry for the poets to flow and weave their stories overtop. This show will be one of a kind, and not to be missed!
