The Ontario FIT (Feed-In-Tarriff) program was launched in 2009 to support renewable energy production in Ontario.The microFIT program is a 20 year fixed-rate contract with the government, who buys the solar power and pays you $0.384/kWh (approx. 3 times of what we usually pay for electricity). Beyond 20 years, Net-metering will allow you to off-set hydro bill.

Eligible participants include home owners, farmers, private schools, social housing, municipalities etc.

You could make up to $4600/year, the annual return of investment (ROI) would be approx.12-16%, depending on the size, orientation and angle of the roofs.

During this seminar, you will learn about the Ontario Feed-In-Tariff program, solar photovoltaic system, identify suitable roofs and the return on investment.
