Small Town Famous @ The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival

No Vowels is an improv and sketch troupe originally based in Newfoundland. Elizabeth, Cait, Bronwyn, and Haley, started No Vowels in 2017 as plucky new-kids-on-the-block, looking to share laughs across their hometown St. John's, and have since produced dozens of unique shows. In 2024, they dove into the world of sketch comedy with their debut show, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, premiering at the inaugural Newfoundland and Labrador Sketch Festival. Following the show's crowd-pleasing success, they travelled to Halifax Fringe for an award-winning run. They recently brought their second sketch project to the stage, Sophomore Slump, at the 2025 NL Sketch Fest.

Show Description: No Vowels may be big on the Rock, but in Toronto they're nobody - until now. After a breakout performance at NL Sketchfest 2024, followed by an award-winning run at Halifax Fringe, No Vowels has finally made it to the Big Smoke. Small Town Famous is a love letter to their real-life friendship and showcases some of their greatest hits and fan-favourite sketches from their catalogue. Just ask anyone in Newfoundland about us being hometown sensations. We're huge, we SWEAR!! Strap in for a taste of their east coast charm, a couple of wig changes, and maybe a little tiny bit of bloodshed (it's fake, don't worry!)
