Small Business Network

North York Central Library is hosting an ongoing Small Business Network, meant for small businesspeople or people who are just thinking about starting their own business. For this session, we are meeting Jon E. Worren, co-‐founder and president of ClearSky Advisors, a renewable energy advisory firm in Toronto.

Startups and small businesses continually seek to improve their business. Many do this through activities such as product tests, and marketing experiments. Nevertheless, many companies struggle with effectively implementing their plans for lasting improvement and it's believed a better understanding of key business metrics can change that for the better. The purpose of this session is to take participants through practical and accessible methods for creating the right metrics, providing the context and use for each, and ultimately help drive the business improvements they want.

If you have a small business, here you can find out from your peers the kind of services they offer, and talk to them about their experiences. Bring your business cards!

If you are just thinking about starting a small business or in the process of doing so, this network is for you too. Learn from others, share your own experiences, and soak in the collective wisdom of the group.

The actual small business owner will be at the table to share real life stories about starting and running a small business in Toronto.

Session will be held in the Large Study Room (Teen Zone). This program is Free. Registration is required. Please contact 416-395-5613 to register.
