Alliance française de Toronto invites you to discover Trinity Mpho and his band on Saturday, April 23, for an afrojazz concert. At 8 pm in the Spadina Theater.

Trinity Mphoeng is a songwriter, composer, recording artist and stage performer, born and raised in Botswana. 2011 saw him record his debut album titled "Theohang". The album has a traditional afrojazz feel and most of the lyrics are written and sung in his native Sebirwa mother tongue. Since making Toronto his home in 2012, he's been busy performing in the live circuit.

Trinity, who used to be a traditional dancer, says traditional music also had influence on him and that his music is addressing the preservation of the Setswana Culture."The album, which was released some months ago, has been met by a highly receptive fanbase”.

This concert is presented in partnership with Batuki Music Society.
