Schema: An Installation

We are a group of diverse emerging artists who have a hell of a lot of questions. Come join us for one night and find out exactly what we still don't know.

Schema is an installation piece that explores the stereotypes that make up western society’s biases towards gender and sexuality. It questions the ownership of and expression of the individual and the history that creates a social stigma. Through pop culture, academic research and personal experience, the performers interact with the audience and space to question these norms and their validity.

Individually and as a collective, we believe that theatre inspires social change. We want to contribute to important conversations regarding the lack of equal representation of race, religion and sexuality in the media. We challenge the single story narrative. The intersectional community that we live in drives our work. We strive to showcase the necessity of diverse voices being involved in the creative process
