Rudy Ray Kwaku is a Ghanaian-Canadian trumpeter, composer, and multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto. Known for blending African jazz, hip-hop, soul, and spoken word, his work lives at the intersection of live music, film, and Black storytelling. Rudy has performed at major cultural events and film festivals, creating immersive soundscapes that deepen cinematic experiences and community dialogue. Through his collective Rudy Ray & Co., he collaborates across music, film, and education, centering themes of memory, resilience, and cultural exchange. He is honoured to return to the Toronto Black Film Festival.
