A meeting of monstrous musical improvisers incarnate a carnival of doom. Spellbinding Alia O'Brien of the wickedly brilliant witch-rock band Blood Ceremony joins forces with feral-art-freaks JOOJ (Sook-Yin Lee & Adam Litovitz) and fearsome multi-instrumentalist Colin Fisher (Not the Wind, Not the Flag). A sonic invocation of ghosts, spirits, the living and the dead.
Carnival of Souls - a young woman in a small Kansas town emerges unscathed from a deadly drag race accident, only to take a job as a church organist in Salt Lake City. En route, she is haunted by a bizarre apparition that compels her toward an abandoned lakeside pavilion. Made by industrial filmmakers on a small budget, Herk Harvey’s macabre masterpiece follows an eerie, disorienting spatial logic that inspired the headspace of David Lynch and the living dead of George Romero.
