Rhythm Alliance Drum Circle

Rhythm, as American dancer and musician Gabriel Roth once said, is the mother tongue. Everyone can experience the magic, fun and stress-releasing benefits of a community drum circle, regardless of age, race, religion, ability, language or musical experience.

Bring your rhythmical sprit, and your drums, percussion instruments and dancing feet to Alternative Thinking for a FREE, family-friendly, community drum circle. People of all ages and levels of musical and drumming expertise are welcome. You don't have to be a drummer to participate, or even own a drum - beginners are especially encouraged to attend.

NO MUSICAL OR DRUMMING EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED!

Drum circles are a fun & exciting way to connect with your friends, family, fellow community members & yourself through recreational music-making. Drum circles also create a supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to participate at their own level, without any pressure or judgment.

Join us to drum, dance or just enjoy the incredible spontaneous community drum circle music.

Beginner drummers are encouraged to attend a FREE workshop from 6:30 - 7 pm, and will be taught the basics on hand drumming and a few rhythms. AFRICAN DJEMBE HAND DRUMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR RENT $5.

Classes are taught by Rufus Glassco, a drum circle facilitator from Rhythm Kingdom rhythmkingdom.com and the Royal Conservatory. To reserve a drum for rent, please email Rufus at rufusglassco@gmail.com.

Again, this workshop is FREE! But our hosts have requested you consider a Karmic Exchange - to know more about what that means, check out Charles Eisenstein's model of a Gift Economy under Sacred Economics http://sacred-economics.com/

PLEASE NOTE: AS THIS IS A FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENT, NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WILL BE SERVED OR ARE ALLOWED - THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!
