RED is an exploration of the potential of a colour that is evocative of both meaning and emotion. The colour RED can imply action, power, desire, and passion. RED has the power to stimulate our sexual and physical appetites on a phychological level, and demands than one should take notice. So take notice ladies and gentlemen. The makeup in this shoot is inspired by John Gagliano and Pat McGrath Dior early 2000s runway looks, editorialized and moderized for a more comercial aesthetic. The clothes are the offerings of five talented local designers and the styling and creative direction toys with the subject's relation to light, interesting shillouettes, and use of colourblocked objects.
