Promise Cherry Beach 2018
Promise Cherry Beach
Sunday August 26
... with Kenny Glasgow and special surprise international guest!
“I forgot how much I miss this.”
Overheard at the beach last Sunday
“This is badass.”
Each weekend such a great crowd of sun, fun and music lovers. Thanks for coming and sharing the beach with us. We’re so lucky.
This Sunday please welcome local hero Kenny Glasgow. From the early heady magic of the 90’s warehouse scene to the gloriously messy Industry days to his meteoric rise alongside Jonny White as Art Department, he’s our very own homegrown superstar. A rare chance for you to experience Kenny in an intimate glow.
Two weekends left of Promise Cherry Beach. Each one is different, so remember it only happens once.
On the decks, a mix of sunny electro, house and techno…
And special surprise international guest!
Contribute at the gate...
We ask for $20 from you. Fair and reasonable, and much needed. Thanks.
Contribute in advance...
Promise Cherry Beach can reach capacity. If you’d like to guarantee your spot, contribute online in advance. A ticket for your contribution will be sent to you. Print out or just bring on your phone and you’re in whenever you arrive.
Thanks for reading. See you Sunday at the beach!

Getting to Cherry Beach is easier than you may think. There's lots of free parking, TTC goes directly there, so does the bike path, and calm anchorage for your boat just offshore. Once at the park go east along the bike path or follow the shoreline… you’ll hear the music.
Car - Cherry Beach is at the bottom of Cherry Street, south of Lakeshore Blvd East and Parliament. Free parking in the 4 lots inside the park.
TTC - 121C Bus
ttc.ca/Routes/121/RouteDescription.jsp?tabName=route Bike - The best way. Follow the Waterfront Trail. Lock your bike to our surrounding fence, outside or inside.
waterfronttrail.org/maps/interactive-map-2/ Boat - The best way, too. As you come ashore you’ll be met by our roaming boat greeters. They’ll help get your contribution and wristbands sorted.
While any beach presents certain challenges, there is firm ground surrounding our dancefloor and onsite accessible washroom. Get in touch beforehand with any specific needs - email@example.com.
Promise Cherry Beach welcomes everyone. Intolerance or harassment is not ok. All our staff is ready to help and take action. Have each other’s back as a community, we’ve got yours.
Promise works with Humber College’s Event Management Program. Our student interns Anna, Adrin, Treisha, Jenisha and Kat are integrally involved in each weekend. Watch the next generation go!
Mountains move slowly and with many hands. Thanks for the untold hours of care which brings Promise Cherry Beach to life through the swipes, types and gripes of Brandon, Mitch, Brooklyn, Chris, Andy, Camille and Seb.
Our thanks also to Councillor Paula Fletcher, and Mike Tanner and Cameron Kennedy at the Music City Office.
