Time for some springtime spooks courtesy of Master of Horror John Carpenter (a Fox staff and audience favourite!)

The second film of his “Apocalypse Trilogy” (between “The Thing” and “In the Mouth of Madness”) finds a quantum physics professor, his students, and a priest holed up in a monastery, investigating an enormous glowing tube of a sinister-seeming green slime in the basement.

Unfortunately for them, it turns out to be liquid Satan as he’s not pleased about being disturbed! He begins to possess and destroy them one by one as theyfight to stop him from releasing HIS father – an all-powerful Anti-God. Who knew grad school could be so much fun!

Starring Carpenter fave Donald Pleasence as the priest with cameo by Alice Cooper as a truly unsettling homeless man lured to the monastery by Satan’s irresistible vibes.
