Please join Kulanu Toronto, CIJA, the 519, and Pride Toronto for our Pride Shabbat Dinner.

Talia Johnson will be leading an optional renewal Shabbat service from 6-6:45pm in the 519 Ballroom. Talia is a noted speaker and workshop facilitator on trans issues, intimate partner violence, policy development, and bridging faith and LGBT / Queer communities. Talia is pursuing an education in a number of areas: A graduate degree in a mental health-related field, ordination as a Kohenet, and studies in Judaism towards rabbinical work.

Our dinner will begin at 7:15pm with an introductory welcome by Olivia Nuamah Pride Toronto Executive Director and a keynote speech from Talia about the Torah portion of the week with a trans feminine and queer feminist lens.

Tickets are $18 and include a dairy kosher-style dinner. Tickets will be on-sale until Sunday June 11. Unfortunately no tickets will be available at the door.

Cash bar will be available during the event.
