Practical Knots and Ropework

Rope stands alongside fire and knives among the most useful things you can know how to use. With a sound understanding of rope and a few useful knots, you can tie things down, tie things together, hang things, wrap things, tow things, haul things, even climb things. This course will cover an assortment of basic knots and principles that can be used for an assortment of chores, and simple artistic uses. It will also briefly cover rope selection, handling, and storage.

Students will receive a 10' coil of 1/4" double-braided polyester rope to work with in class, which they can keep for their own use.
