Port Hope Salmon Festival

The Port Hope Salmon Festival

is one of Ontario’s most exciting fall traditions, celebrating the incredible salmon migration along the Ganaraska River in the heart of historic Port Hope. Held annually between mid-August and mid-October, the festival brings thousands of visitors to watch massive Chinook and Coho salmon leap upstream at Corbett’s Dam and the famous fish ladder, creating an unforgettable natural spectacle. Visitors can also enjoy local shops, riverfront trails, family activities, food vendors, live entertainment, and the vibrant atmosphere throughout downtown Port Hope.
