Pop music is one of the most subversive, controlling, exploitive, beloved and brilliant forces on Earth.

POPSPOLITATION is a night celebrating dirty, dirty pop in its many incarnations and timelines, from the ley lines connecting Madonna, Britney and Xtina to one Backstreet Boy's move to bringing SexyBack to the eventual world conquering ATL sound of Outkast to the chaos magic of Lady Gaga.

Original audio-visual mash-ups, new stuff, rare stuff, old stuff, and that Icona Pop song all merge together into the history of pop music to make your heart and brain explode:

it's POPSLOITATION. A night of entirely unique DJ and live visual production performances by Palm Freetz, the Brooklyn-based art+music+event duo of Russ Marshalek (aka Twin Peaks obsessive dark electronic performer a place both wonderful and strange, currently in residence at Brooklyn's seminal indie culture hub Glasslands) and Deanna Paquette (aka hugs4drake, noted graphic designer at Shutterstock).

Between the two of them, they've created and produced Brooklyn's legendary Robyn-themed pop music dance parties, resoundtracked Twin Peaks, keynoted the Typo Conference Berlin, photoshopped Drake into various cafes, and have an encyclopedic and infamous mental and emotional pop music dictionary.

Pop music is ultimate manipulator, and they're going to force you to dance your ass off.
