HSP – U of T will be hosting an inclusive Play Day for the official launch of the 2020 Different is Beautiful x Dear Everybody calendar on November 24th, 2019 (12- 3pm). This calendar was created to demonstrate the beauty in differences among all children. This year, HSP partnered with Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and their Dear Everybody campaign. Together, we hope to spread awareness about the importance of inclusion for children of all abilities. The Play Day and Launch Party will showcase the photos of the children in the calendar along with short biographies about what they want the world to know about them (refreshments provided!). In addition to launching the calendar, this event will be an opportunity for children and families to learn about and play inclusive games such as boccia ball, soccer, wheelchair basketball and dance. Community organizations such as Variety Village will be setting up booths at the event to inform families about the inclusive physical activity programs they offer in the GTA. Come and get active with us and help us spread awareness about the importance of inclusion!
