Sportsnet Fan590 host Sid Seixeiro joins baseball insider Shi Davidi to headline the 6th edition of Pitch: Talks on Baseball. Joining Seixeiro and Davidi are Andrew Stoeten of TheScore.com and Drunk Jays Fans as well as former Our Lady Peace drummer and current podcaster Jeremy Taggart.

An all-female panel discussion led by Stacey May Fowles of The Walrus will open the evening and will include Erin Valois of TheScore.com and Jenn Smith.

Our mission is to connect with the growing crowd of sophisticated baseball enthusiasts in Toronto by facilitating informed and entertaining discussions on the game we love. The format is broad and flexible and can include storytelling, presentations, debate, panels and lectures and is at the discretion of the guest speaker.

Every PITCH includes interactive open question period with the speaker.

Who’s behind this event?

Kevin Kennedy is the founder of Swingman Live – an event design and execution agency and co-owner of Tallboys – Craft Beer House. Back in 2011, he started Jays Days – a monthly fan meet-up event that recreates the ballpark experience in a pub atmosphere while the team is on the road. Jays games are screened with full audio and guests play trivia facilitated by the in-game host. www.facebook.com/JaysDays

Over the past year Swingman Live has hosted several local events including the Big Smoke Music Festival, Toronto Bike Awards, and the Christmas Craft Beer Carnival.

Kennedy is a member of the Centre for Social Innovation and the Jays Care Foundation’s Young Professionals Committee.

Pitch & Jays Care

A portion of the proceeds from PITCH events will be donated to the Jays Care Foundation’s ChangeUp Campaign. The Jays Care Foundation (JCF) has partnered with the YMCA to build the Bridletowne Circle YMCA in the priority neighbourhood of Steeles-L’Amoreaux. JCF’s impact and presence will be in the creation and building of the Youth Zone at the Y.
