Past Perfect by Michel Tremblay
Théâtre français de Toronto opens its 2014-15 season with Past Perfect by Michel Tremblay. Directed by Diana Leblanc, winner of the 2014 Dora Mavor Moore Silver Ticket Award, this prequel to Albertine in Five Times recounts the genesis of Albertine’s revolt, one of Tremblay’s most fascinating and rebellious characters to date. While the original play depicts each of the five decades of her life from age 30 to 70, Past Perfect gives us Albertine at 20, on a night that will irrevocably determine her fate. Opening on Friday, September 26, the play runs at the Berkeley Street Theatre from September 24 to October 5.
