What if a parking space became a park, an art installation or a place to gather?

Park(ing) Day Toronto returns September 18–20, transforming parking spaces across the city into temporary public spaces for design, play and conversation.

Part of a global movement taking place in more than 35 countries, Park(ing) Day invites citizens, artists, designers, community groups and organizations to creatively reimagine street, boulevard and lot parking spaces as pop-up parks, art installations and social spaces.

Organized and coordinated locally by Dubbeldam Architecture + Design, Park(ing) Day Toronto launched in 2022 and has continued to grow across Toronto and the GTA, bringing together architecture and design studios, artists, nonprofits, community groups and local residents.

The three-day event encourages Torontonians to experience the city differently and consider how urban space can become more welcoming, green and people-focused.
