Operanation, the Canadian Opera Company’s must-attend arts fundraiser of the fall social season, lights up the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on October 16, 2014. This year’s unforgettable evening, filled with music, dancing, fashion, culinary delights and visual art, is infused with a modern Spanish flare inspired by the COC’s production of The Barber of Seville. Event highlights include a live performance of operatic proportions by rising young stars of the COC Ensemble Studio in collaboration with a contemporary musical artist. Past Operanation performers have included Nelly Furtado, Sam Roberts Band, Arkells, Rufus Wainwright, Austra and Broken Social Scene.
