Travel “Through the Thicket” to find the primal & spiritual connection between Earth and Man. This mixed-media exhibit invites viewers to discover the Earth’s strength but also her vulnerability and the deep seeded connection between man and nature - for it is within nature that we find our truths.

On April 1st, at the Steam Whistle Brewing Gallery (255 Bremner Blvd, Toronto) from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., attend the opening reception. Attendance is free and pieces will be available for purchase.

“Through the Thicket is a metaphoric exploration of the relationship between society and the natural world,” explains Tina Tran, illustrator and graphic designer and one of the participating artists. “Despite one’s individual cultural background, a common bond between people can be found in our fascination with the familiar yet mysterious aspects of nature.”

The exhibit features the works of four Toronto-based artists; Michael Rennick, Tina Tran, William J. Grantham and Liz Emirzian. Each artists brings to life their unique interpretation, from the whimsical to the thought-provoking, of the link between man and nature and this spiritual part of the psyche that knows no cultural or religious boundaries.
