Open Roof Festival - Fresh Snow and Sing Street

The second night of this year’s Festival begins with Fresh Snow – an instrumental band augmented by guest horn and string players. Intriguing and entertaining, they’ve been long-listed for the Polaris Prize and made best-of lists in NOW, The Grid, BlogTO, Torontoist, The Toronto Star, and a host of music blogs. From there, the fun continues with the critically acclaimed Sing Street by director John Carney. After bringing us indie darlings like Once and Begin Again, he marries the best of 80s pop music and teen romance, when in 1985, a Dublin teenager (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) forms a rock 'n' roll band to win the heart of an aspiring model (Lucy Boynton).
