Open Roof Festival

Toronto’s Open Roof Festival (ORF), celebrating indie film and music, returns for its seventh season for 10 weeks, kicking-off on June 21 with screenings on either Tuesday or Wednesday. New this year, ORF wraps with two back-to-back screenings on August 23 and August 24 during its final week.

The opening night of this year’s Festival begins with Matrox – robot-costumed purveyors of Daft Punk-like digital funk with brilliantly detailed songs full of energy and uplift. From there, the fun continues with Everybody Wants Some!! called the spiritual successor to director Richard Linklater’s 1993 cult hit, Dazed and Confused— which follows a group of college baseball players as they navigate their way through the freedoms and responsibilities of unsupervised adulthood.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at: www.openrooffestival.com
