Nike Is Dropping A Blind-Bag Kobe Draft Day T-Shirt Collection
Nike is taking the Kobe Bryant “Draft Day” concept beyond footwear and into apparel. After unveiling the Kobe 4 Protro “Draft Day” Pack, the brand has now introduced a matching Kobe Draft Day T-Shirt Collection inspired by the 1996 NBA Draft.
The collection pays tribute to the 13 teams that passed on Bryant before he was ultimately acquired by the Los Angeles Lakers. Mirroring the sneaker release, the apparel lineup features 14 different colorways. Thirteen designs represent the lottery teams and the Charlotte Hornets, while the final version comes in the iconic Lakers color scheme.
Each T-shirt uses a team-inspired primary color, while the bold “KOBE” lettering appears in contrasting secondary colors reminiscent of classic varsity-style graphics. Additional details include draft board-inspired elements and a lottery-themed graphic displaying picks one through thirteen near the lower-left hem.
To maintain the surprise factor, Nike is packaging every shirt inside a sealed anti-static bag featuring the Kobe logo. As a result, buyers will not know which colorway they receive until opening the package, creating a blind-bag experience similar to collectible releases.
Nike has also revealed the distribution breakdown for each colorway. Unlike the sneaker collection, the Lakers edition is the most widely available, accounting for 8% of the total allocation.
The Nike Kobe Draft Day T-Shirt Collection is set to launch on June 26 with a retail price of $60 per shirt. The Kobe 4 Protro “Draft Day” Pack will also release on the same date.
