Night Of The Lepus stars Janet Leigh and DeForest Kelley, and is based on a novel from 1964... yes, multiple people committed to this idea on more than one occasion. Clearly realizing they had made a huge mistake, MGM tried to release this movie without letting on what the monsters were.
