Friends of Music at St. Thomas’s presents sitarist Neha Mahajan and tabalchi Zaheer-Abbas Janmohamed in a concert of Indian Classical music and improvisations on ragas.

A brilliant sitarist from the Indore Beenkar Gharana school, Neha Mahajan brings the depth of centuries-old tradition into conversation with the present. Known for her soulful artistry, Neha has performed around the world. She is also an actor, and has starred in several Indian and international films.

Tabalchi Zaheer-Abbas Janmohamed is active in Toronto’s vibrant local beat-making and producer community. Drawing on diverse cultural and artistic influences and on his classical training, he combines tabla repertoire together with elements of Western styles.
