National Youth Orchestra of Canada: 2026 Canadiana Tour
Canada's top young orchestral musicians hit the stage for one night only at Koerner Hall, and this isn't your grandparents' orchestra concert.
The National Youth Orchestra of Canada kicks off its cross-country Canadiana Tour with a program that spans nearly a century of music, from sweeping symphonies to a brand-new world premiere. Leading the orchestra is Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser in his first season as Music Director, bringing his signature energy and passion to every note.
The evening features cellist Sabina Sandvoss, 21 years old, winner of the prestigious Canada Council for the Arts Michael Measures First Prize, performing Elgar's beloved Cello Concerto, plus the world premiere of Pulse by Toronto composer Liam Ritz, written specifically for these young musicians.
Thrilling, alive, and unmistakably Canadian.
~2 hours with intermission.
