National Drone Day // Toronto // Evening Drone

Weird Canada has proclaimed Saturday May 27th as the date for the fourth annual National Drone Day. In honour of The Drone, The AMBiENT PiNG presents a free, all-ages Evening Drone concert at the Roland Inspiration Centre featuring dreamSTATE and DRONE:KLUB.

You are invited to attend as an audience member or a droner or both for the DRONE:KLUB set.

Please enter by the backdoor via the alleyway off Fraser Ave as the front door of the building will be locked when we're getting going. See the map posted in the Discussion area below.

7:00-8:00pm - Load-in / Set-up / Hang-out

8:00 - A short set by ambient dronescapers dreamSTATE

8:30 - A community drone-improv session by DRONE:KLUB

dreamSTATE is the deep soundscape project of Scott M2 and Jamie Todd, exploring the topographies of drone and ambience.

DRONE:KLUB is Toronto's new community drone event, performing for themselves or for audiences. Electronic and acoustic musicians are welcome to join the drone:melds. Listeners are also welcomed.

PS - If you're droning, bringing headphones & a tuner would be a plus. If you'd like to MIDI sync with others, we will provide a MIDI clock and Thru-Box to plug into so bring a long MIDI cable too. We will also provide a closed WiFi network for Ableton Link sync.

PPS - There will be water and pop available but you're welcome to BYOBeverages, as this is a private klub event.

Thank-you to Roland Canada for sharing their cool space for this event.
