Spearheaded by Emmy-winning songwriter-producer Don Breithaupt, Monkey House brings together a powerhouse lineup of elite Toronto musicians—Justin Abedin on guitar, Pat Kilbride on bass, and Mark Kelso on drums—alongside longtime studio collaborators, producer Peter Cardinali and Grammy-winning engineer John “Beetle” Bailey. Known for their sleek blend of jazz, rock, pop, and R&B, the group hits a vibrant new stride on Crashbox, their most dynamic and sonically rich outing to date.

Born in the ’90s as Breithaupt’s outlet for his “too quirky” pop gems, Monkey House has since grown into a global jazz-pop institution, drawing fans across North America, Europe, and Japan. With Crashbox, the band doubles down on its signature mix of dazzling arrangements, lush horn sections, and lyrical depth, ranging from playful introspection to sly social critique.
