The world is a lot right now, so Loohoo’s November Artist of the Month is choosing to laugh. Toronto artist Stephanie Avery turns condo signage, ads, and other consumer culture leftovers into playful interventions about resilience, absurdity, and caring for each other. Come celebrate the opening, be silly with us (maybe especially silly), and see the show.

Stephanie is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist working in murals, installations, and interventions with discarded materials and urban detritus. Loohoo is a cute gift shop and creative space designed to feel like your dream apartment, and every month it hosts an Artist of the Month exhibition supporting emerging and independent artists.

Might As Well Laugh will hold an opening reception on Thursday November 5, 6-9pm and will be on view all November 2026.
