MermaidsHatePlastic: A Public Art Exhibit April 17th - 21st 2017

Known for it’s various tech products and pop-up experiences, Usful’s mission is to prepare communities for inevitable planetary change through technology, design, and education.

As an advocate of art and culture in public spaces, Usful has yet again transformed a public space into an interactive art experience. This time around, Canadian photographer Benjamin Von Wong shares his #MermaidsHatePlastic exhibit that raises awareness of plastic pollution. Featuring 10,000 plastic bottles, one mermaid, and a single wish, Von Wong’s images capture his focus on art as conservation and social impact projects.
