As part of Lulaworld Festival (May 28 to June 8), this special night at Lula Lounge celebrates a double album release with two boundary-pushing artists who bridge cultures through sound. Algerian-born Fethi Nadjem launches his debut solo album Time 9, a vibrant fusion of North African rhythms and global influences, shaped by his years touring with Djmawi Africa and his collaborations with artists like Jesse Cook, Moskitto Bar, and Moneka Arabic Jazz. Now based in Toronto, Fethi continues to carve out a unique musical path that reflects his heritage and his ever-expanding creative vision.

Also marking a release is Turkish multi-instrumentalist Selcuk Suna, unveiling his newest project on the Lulaworld Records label, The Space Between. Known for his evocative clarinet and saxophone work, Selcuk blends jazz with Turkish and world music traditions in a way that is both cinematic and deeply soulful. A key player in ensembles like Kune: the New Canadian Global Music Orchestra and Sultans of String, he brings a rich, improvisational energy to every performance. Together, these two artists promise a night of genre-defying music and heartfelt storytelling—a high-energy celebration of global sounds that embodies the spirit of Lulaworld Festival: soul-stirring music from across the globe and around the corner.
