Louise The Last Dance
Louise: The Last Dance | June 5 & 19 @ Society Clubhouse
Toronto, meet Louise Weber: the working-class woman who invented the cancan, became the most famous entertainer in Europe, and died selling peanuts on the street outside the same club that made her a star. You've never heard of her. That's kind of the whole point.
Louise: The Last Dance is a new solo theatre show by Saint Stella, the Toronto performer behind three consecutive sold-out Fringe hits — and it's heading to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August. But first: two nights only at Society Clubhouse.
June 5 is the world premiere preview, with a talkback after the show. Bring your feedback voice!
June 19 is a full party: the show, then a burlesque showcase with Arra Kiss, Cleo Tantra, Evelyn Crane, Maximum Capacity, and Sugar Holiday, then a dance party with DJs Melelectric and Butt Mitzfah. Art party on!
Doors at 7pm . Show at 7:30pm
Both nights are pay-what-you-can cash at the door.
