Light, Time & Tides
Red Head Gallery Presents "Light, Time & Tides", by Guest Artist Katherine Curci. On view Dec 13 - 23, with opening reception Dec 14, 5 - 8pm.
Light, Time & Tides, is a body of work that represents the silent stillness and enigmatic beauty of the night sky and its impact on our emotional connection to the natural world. Whether we are gazing upon the stars or the reflections of moonlight dancing on water, these visual moments bring us peace and solace. They offer us a place where time slows and for an instant, we disconnect from the hurried pace of our day to day lives.
Each charcoal drawing in this series is an emotional representation of the constant ebb and flow of nature mirroring our human experience. From the velvety deep blacks to the shimmering highlights, the interplay of light and shadow represents the contrast of life itself. Both seemingly opposing elements, coexisting in harmony. The interplay of these dualities is not merely a visual language; it is a powerful narrative that mirrors the complexities of life itself.
