Toronto, ON – MARCH 18TH 2022 – Toronto's famed guerrilla-folk-klezmer-party-punk-super-band, Lemon Bucket Orkestra, is celebrating their 12th anniversary (10th if you don’t count Covid years) and the Opera House's 32nd anniversary with a a show directly supporting Ukraine, with all of the door proceeds being donated to Ukrainian relief. Held at the iconic venue on Friday, March 18th, it’s the perfect early spring gathering to enjoy some of the incredible sounds this city has to offer while supporting a great cause. Tickets are on sale now (more info below) and available here.

This one night only party aims to raise funds for non-profit organizations. We have partners on the ground aiding Ukrainian refugees in their own country as they repel and survive the Russian invasion of free Ukraine. WithALL of the door proceeds going to this urgent cause, we stand with our brothers and sisters in solidarity.

We are also proud to be donating $1 from every ticket to MUSICOUNTS, the Juno-endorsed charity which funds music education for underprivileged kids throughout Canadian schools.

We are excited to be featuring the internationally famous TARA MONEKA and her recently premiered all female band. She’s a fantastic and inspiring young woman, and a recent refugee from Iraq who makes our city all the greater. Boasting over 72k Instagram followers, she is taking the Canadian music scene by storm with her commanding presence and melismatic vocal range.

We are also presenting the world renowned Roma Gypsy brass musician NIZO ALIMOV as our special guest from Macedonia . He’s a legend in brass and Balkan music, known for his work with Kočani Orkestar across the globe.

Lemon Bucket Orkestra first came into the public eye in 2012 when a video of their impromptu performance on a delayed flight went viral and got them attention from Jimmy Kimmel, Huff Post, and The New York Times. Since then they have won and been nominated for multiple awards and garnered international media praise for their high-octane live performances and tendency to break down the fourth wall and literally take the show into the audience for the finales of their shows.

While this is a time of immense grief and resistance for Eastern Europe, and extremely trying globally for all compatriots, we are determined to make radical change through the unifying force of music, and turn these lemons into aid.

We hope you will join us at The Opera House March 18th.
