THIS HOLIDAY WINDOW IS LITERALLY STOPPING TRAFFIC ON RONCESVALLES

LEGOMETROPOLITAN, the psychedelic skyline by Toronto artist Raymond Girard is built with over 100,000 LegoTM bricks and can be enjoyed 24/7 until early January at 313 Design Market on Toronto’s Roncesvalles Avenue.

60 magically hued towers, multi-coloured viaducts, massive mountains and a hidden shark’s lair that only kids can see make up this 12’ long sculpture with a decidedly urban twist. “Just like with vintage department store holiday windows, there’s something in it for everyone”, says Raymond. “LegoTM lovers, urban design geeks, kids and adults... it’s the strong dose of optimism and colour we all need right now.”

It’s the perfect complement to the colourful and design-forward merchandise that Mark and Chris Siemicki curate for their Roncesvalles retail destination, a must-see for lovers of design since it opened in December of 2019.
