Whether you're a seasoned gamer or new to the world of Tabletop Role Playing Games (TTRPGs), this event offers something for everyone. Come solo or with friends and immerse yourself in a game of Call of Cthulhu. This adventure seats up to 6 players.

Our events are a great way to connect with members of local communities and are also perfect for folks arriving in Toronto looking to make new friends.

What is Call of Cthulhu?: The players become investigators or regular people in a bygone era of exploration and discovery, where mysterious occurrences need to be looked into, but looking too deep causes the mystery to look back and the players’ characters begin to question their very sanity. The game explores cosmic horror, a genre where humanity’s existence is unimportant to the broader cosmos which is thus uncaring and potentially dangerous in return.

What is a One-Shot?: It is a complete story in one session of gameplay.

Join us at our new home, the Board Games Arboretum, in our special events space for the night to immerse yourself in your characters and discover a new story to experience. We have partnerships with local food and drink venues and welcome all food and non-alcoholic beverages into the space while we’re having fun deducing and deceiving. Tickets for this event are $35 or $30 for Changeling Special Events Members.

Player Experience: Any! - Little to no experience with the game, or looking to build confidence, or just have fun!

Equipment: We will provide paper, pencils, and of course, dice for you to borrow. We also use Chaotic Studios dice kits to help support new players in getting familiar with the different-sized dice as needed by the system.
