KIRA AND DONAVON: TOGETHER AGAIN! for the first time
Kira Hall and Donavon LeNabat have a friendship with a special magic. They're both Muppets, they both appreciate a good hat, and they both have disturbingly similar senses of humour. A cabaret was inevitable.
First they were going to do a cabaret of unique covers. Then they were going to just do songs that they thought were funny. Finally, they hit on it: they're going to do BOTH of those, plus some songs that just plain bring 'em joy, because hopefully it will bring you, the audience, equal joy.
Kira Hall is an actor, singer, puppeteer, writer, and vaudevillian. You probably saw her as Kate Monster/Lucy the Slut in the original cast of Avenue Q at the Lower Ossington Theatre, and she has recently appeared with Suitcase Theatre, Theatre Direct, New Actor's Colony Theatre, Artichoke Heart Collective, Stage West Mississauga, and the Lunacy Cabaret. Her solo show, Paleoncology, will be touring to Fringes across Canada this summer and has consumed her life. kirahall.com
Donavon LeNabat is a Toronto-based piano entertainer, accompanist, and renowned crosser of lines. You can find him at Statler's on Mondays and Wednesdays co-hosting Sing-ular Sensation and his own open mic. He is also the leader of Toronto-based party band Jack Squat http://JackSquat.ca, a project which brings him tremendous joy. In his spare time he composes, arranges, records, and produces music. www.lenabat.com
