KILLER BOB (http://killerbob.bandcamp.com/)

NYC dark avant-garde ensemble mixes modern compositional elements with dark industrial sounds & a punk upbringing. Punished vocals growl over ominously precise guitar work & percussive textures that range from the unhealthily organic to the speechlessly robotic. Inhuman whispers lay themselves over electronic drum patterns. Like the call of an unholy creature, Killer BOB's music comes howling from inside some dark cavern deep in the earth. Unexpected aggressive bursts of angular guitar chords screech out in a brawl with thumping bass notes. Distorted grooves pull themselves out of these damaged structures. Vocals coo & caw to win your affection, until spastic sonic chaos is unleashed moving at lightning speed. For fans of dark electronics, the dirty projectors and abrasive minimalism.

PROCESSOR (http://processor.bandcamp.com/)

Lorenz Peter & M. Joakim's dark electronic post punk duo juxtaposes blistering electronics with driving synth beats. Bit of electronic notes shatter & reform in this spectral manipulating of tapes, modulators and synthesized sound. Like the score to some demonic haunted house, you can't escape it's pulsating rhythms, as this intricate web of refracting sound envelops you. Rhythmic synth patterns dance with strings of modulated notes, creating a twisted whirlwind of pulsating beats lost in a storm of dissonance.

LICE

Toronto weird punk band featuring Tim Fagan (New Fries / Induced Labour) among others continues it's journey to rebirth after a long hiatus. Heavy sludge rock tendencies are balanced out by quick moves into thrash psych punk territory. Obliteratingly deep bass tones rumble the ground before an explosion of angular spastic punk chaos that whips itself into a frenzy so caustic, it leaves only a glowing angelic tones humming from it self implosion. Warped vocals warble over this desolate land. If there is one band that knows how to balance sparsity with density this is it. There diversions never feel out of place & are a welcome calm in their own storm. Don't miss this, seriously come on time!
