Every Tuesday evening, Night-Bird Vocal JAZ Session, hosted by vocalist Kalya Ramu, welcomes all singers and instrumentalists to participate in an old-fashioned vocal jazz/blues open mic.
The main goal of this vocal jam is to create an outlet for Jazz vocalists to develop and display their talent in a comfortable and friendly environment. There is a serious shortage of places where you can get this kind of a vocal-friendly vibe, since most of the jams in Toronto are largely instrumentally focused. We would love to give a place for singers to feel comfortable and enjoy the same kind of jamming atmosphere! Of course, instrumentalists are welcome to participate as well.
