Toronto bassist and composer Josh Cohen celebrates the release of We Are Home, his first full ensemble recording as a leader, with the Josh Cohen Quintet featuring Jeremy Ledbetter, Rob Christian, Lucian Gray, and Mateo Mancuso.

Long associated with solo electric bass performance and the ability to create the sound of a full ensemble on a single instrument, Cohen turns his writing outward on We Are Home. The album places Cohen’s compositional voice inside a collaborative ensemble setting, shaped by the personalities, instincts, and creative decisions of the musicians around him.

Recorded at RC Sound in Toronto and produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Rob Christian, We Are Home features Jeremy Ledbetter on piano and keyboards, Rob Christian on woodwinds, Lucian Gray on guitar, Mateo Mancuso on drums, and Josh Cohen on bass and compositions.

The release show brings the core quintet together for two intimate seated performances at Annette Studios.
