Jordan Abel

Jordan Abel is a Nisga'a writer from Vancouver. Abel's conceptual writing engages with the representation of Indigenous peoples in Anthropology through the technique of erasure. He has been described as "a master carver of the page" who passes the work of sculpture along to the reader "who reads, and rereads, in three dimensions." Abel's work has appeared in numerous periodicals, and his chapbooks have been published by Above/Ground Press and JackPine Press. Abel's first book, The Place of Scraps Talonbooks, was a finalist for the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award and the winner of the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize. Un/inhabited, Abel's second book, was co-published by Project Space Press and Talonbooks.

Sheryda Warrener

Sheryda Warrener is the author of two poetry collections, Floating is Everything Nightwood Editions 2015 and her debut Hard Feelings Snare/Invisible, 2010. Her work has been shortlisted for the Robert Kroetsch Award for Innovative Poetry, the Arc Magazine Poem of the Year, the Malahat Review Long Poem Prize, and was a runner-up for Lemon Hound's inaugural poetry contest. She lives in Vancouver, where she teaches at the University of British Columbia.

Marcus Roi Medford

Marcus Roi Medford is a poet, journalist, maker-of-strange noises and a radio-show host from Toronto. Marcus, also known as "Mars, the Poet" was one of the finalists for the Art Bar's Discovery Night 2016. Marcus, 21, was born in Toronto and studies journalism and philosophy at the University of Toronto. Marcus has been writing poetry since he was 13 and is publishing his first collection of poetry "Book of Mars" in Spring this year. Marcus' poetry has been described as "raw" and "evocative" and will be featured in AllPoetry.com's upcoming anthology "Extreme Perception."
