// Jeffery Straker

Singer-songwriter-pianist Jeffery Straker performs over 100 shows per year across Canada. Hes recorded for CBC radios Canada Live, had a music video chart in the top 10 on Much Music and has toured internationally playing pianos in places as far away as Mexico, Chile, United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. His folk-pop hooks and rootsy story-telling have been featured in Film, TV, and theatrical productions while he maintains a touring schedule in venues ranging from house concerts to theatres and festivals, including shows with symphony orchestras. Jeffery was the winner of the Vina Del Mar International Song Competition in Chile in 2014 representing Canada where he earned a Latin American fan following. Originally from small town Saskatchewan, the classically trained pianist was raised by a church organist mother and auctioneer father. He swears he was born under the piano on the family farm. On his new album, Dirt Road Confessional May 2017, Straker continues to push the boundaries of what it means to be a piano balladeer. With themes both contemplative and joyous, the 12-song collection encapsulates the seasoned singer/songwriters experiences of playing shows around the world & launched at #5 on the iTunes singer songwriter charts in Canada. Straker regularly draws comparisons to Harry Nilsson, Kris Kristofferson as well as a young Billy Joel or Elton John but on Dirt Road Confessional his personal storytelling style stands out distinctly as his own. The album has been finding favour with both critics and fans alike.

// Sara Kamin

Sara Kamin's powerful voice has been compared to incredible female artists like Jann Arden, Patty Griffin, Adele, India.Arie and Bessie Smith. A regular performer both in Canada and the UK, Kamin has shared the stage with Molly Johnson, Murray Mclaughlin, Jason Collett, Jill Barber, Jonatha Brooke, Ember Swift, Melissa Ferrick, Edie Carey, and Madison Violet. Her latest album, "The Music in Me," is her most honest, authentic recording to date. Joined by Oliver Pigott guitar, background vocals and Lyndell Montgomery violin, Kamin has created an album of well-crafted, soulful folk-pop tunes exploring love, heartache and the human condition.

"Sara Kamin has a very natural way with a song and a voice that is lovely and pure." - Ron Sexsmith
